Appeal to the Donors of Brahmaso Humanitarian Aids Organization (Mandalay)

To our esteemed international donors and benefactors, placing metta (loving-kindness) first and cultivating (faith), we wish you to read this appeal. This organization was founded in 1998, bases on the compassion and metta (loving-kindness) that arose from a personal experience of the Venerable Baddanta Teikkha of the New Taung Salin Monastery. Although it began with free funeral services, it now carries out social welfare activities divided into the following five major sectors:

(1) Healthcare Service Sector
(2) Funeral Service Sector
(3) Educational Service Sector
(4) Natural Disaster Relief Sector
(5) Blood and Organ Donation Sector

As the aforementioned social welfare services have expanded in accordance with the times, 19 executive committee members and 27 working committee members are diligently working in 13 working committees to complete these tasks. All these executive and working committee members are striving to the best of their abilities free of charges. As a result, the organisation has now been in existence for over 27 years.

In carrying out these social welfare activities, the expenses depend solely on the continuous contributions of the benefactors and well-wishers. In other words, the long-term sustainability of this organisation and its activities of fulfilling the urgent needs of the people at grassroots level are entirely dependent on the monetary contributions of donors. Therefore, without discrimination based on race or religion, in accordance with the four Brahmaso principles: love, compassion, rejoice, and equanimity (i.e. metta, karuna, mudita, _we appeal upekkha_), for this organization to be sustainable:

By contributing as much as one is able personally, andBy spreading the message to acquaintances, We respectfully request that you come and make special meritorious contributions to the various acts of dana (generosity) at this organisation.
